This Tableware With Ants Everywhere Is Going To Make All Your Guests Freak

Attack of the ants!!!!

It’s the nightmare of anyone who has ever gone on a picnic with a blanket and some food in the summer.

Ants. Everywhere.

Ants crawling up your legs, ants forming an orderly queue to your dripping ice cream, ants surrounding and conquering your sandwich ready to transport away. No matter how hard you brush away or blow or smack, the little buggers never seem to give up. And always seem to call a couple more hundred of their friends, until all your food is gone and gobbled.

Now imagine you could have this experience everyday in your home.

German artist Evelyn Bracklow is bringing this apocalyptical experience onto our dining tables with her cheeky dish designs. Invading crisp white plates, jars, and cups, the artist combines summer day panic with modern dining, using an invasion of insects to do so.

No living species were harmed in the process – as Bracklow paints by hand (!) one by one (!) each of the little jet black creatures. Sure to make any guest to your home stop and hesitate for at least a second, we’re definitely starting to love this trippy take on tableware.

Forget delicate butterflies and roses and other stereotypical dish companions. This summer, dine with the ants.
