Take My Money: ☕️🍰 ☕️🍰 ☕️🍰 ☕️🍰 ☕️ 9/10
London definitely has a dreamy selection of themed afternoon teas, from a Wicked musical tea and a Barbie afternoon tea, over to Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast inspired tea. The city is brimming with magical afternoon tea experiences, and the latest one is no exception.
A Charlie and the Chocolate Factory afternoon tea is coming to the One Aldwych hotel in London this November, and is a must-visit for any chocolate lover and Roald Dahl fan alike.
Cr: One Aldwych
Based on the popular childrens’ book and movie, One Aldwych serves a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory afternoon tea the whole year round, but is giving this popular sweet treat a festive upgrade in time for the Christmas season.
In fact, the menu reads like a scrumptious gift we can’t wait to unwrap. There’s everything from classic warm scones with plum jam over to gingerbread and white chocolate pops, golden chocolate eggs, candy floss, and a swanky ~Cocktail Charlie~ (which we’re told consists of Dalmore whisky, cherry marnier, and chocolate bitters over bubbles).
Really, it’s probably the closest we’ll ever get to sampling all the sweets at Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.
The mouthwatering work of One Aldwych executive chef Dominic Teague, the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory afternoon tea will be served from November 1st 2017 until January 1st 2018. Prices start at £44 per person, and you can find out more and book your (golden) ticket over on the One Aldwych website.
