You Can Now Get Coca Cola Coffee Plus, In Case You Want To Go Mad With Caffeine

Does the ‘plus’ stand for caffeine plus caffeine plus caffeine?

If you’re one of those people who can’t function without a hefty dose of caffeine throughout the day, buckle up your seatbelt, because this beverage may just be a wild ride even for you.

Coca Cola Japan has released Coca Cola Coffee Plus, for everyone who needs all the caffeinated goodness of both energising drinks. Mixed together. In one super-bomb beverage.

You. Are. Welcome.

Cr: Coca Cola Japan

Made with coffee extract powder, Coca Cola Coffee Plus aims to be the hybrid drink of choice for any hardworking/stressed out/high energy individual. Whilst it physically looks a lot like regular Coca Cola, the drink is said to smell a lot like a (cold) cup of coffee. It also has 50% more caffeine content because of this. It’s a confusing drink, and those who tried it out at SoraNews24, claim that “despite the pronounced coffee aroma, the flavour isn’t all that different than normal Coca-Cola.”

A great solution for all those people who are super indecisive and can’t decide in what form to load up on caffeine today…?

Regardless, no reports as yet have claimed that the extra caffeine to be WOAH-LIFE-CHANGING, and we’ll assume the effect is really just like having some Coke and having some cold brew.

Weird but… sorta good.

Priced at 130 yen a can (approx $1.20), Coca Cola Coffee Plus is only available at select vending machines in Japan at the moment. It makes a lot of sense for Japan’s super productive working culture, and can probably cut some decision-making time for those uncertain of what rocket fuel to sip.

As for us… we’re going to sip some herbal tea to calm down from all this commotion.

What do you think?
