1. On the eighth day of Christmas my true love gave to me… Eight Maids A-Milking.

How hip do our milk maids in high waisted aprons look? Not to be confused with the condensed milk brand, milk maids usually refer to girls or women employed to milk cows (unlike the milkman – who “just” brings the milk).
And while we’re on the subject of milk. Are you leaving milk and cookies for Santa this year?
We found some clever ideas if you wanted to mix it up this Christmas. Yknow, just in case Santa wishes to drop a couple more boxes.

Santa Snack One: Some mini doughnuts for the elves
Don’t forget to thank those that meticulously put your toys/jewellery/socks/iPhone together. Everybody loves a doughnut, particularly these mini ones.
Santa Snack Two: Reindeer Food
Gotta fuel those that are carrying Santa through the night with this recipe!
Santa Snack Three: Rudolph shortbread
Trust me, he is going to LOVE these.
Santa Snack Four: Christmas Cosmopolitan
Erm… this one is just really yum for err- everyone?
2. Christmas Song of the Day: I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus
Did you sing the title as you read it?
The charming ‘I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus’ was originally written by Tommie Connor, and is here sung by the famous Jackson 5, featuring a very young Michael Jackson. The tongue-in-cheek lyrics sing of a scene where a child sneaks a peek downstairs and catches Mommy kissing Santa Claus. Whilst his mother does not catch him watching her, he wonders ‘what a laugh it would have been if Daddy had only seen’. And whilst as a child this song felt very scandalous, as you grow up you realise how sweet it is because Daddy probably IS Santa Claus.
3. Christmas Movie of the Day: The Polar Express
This 2004 musical animation features a very real-looking Tom Hanks, due to the live action performance technique used to make the film, creating a Christmassy cross between real-life and fantasy. The plot revolves around a young boy who takes a journey aboard the Polar Express to the North Pole, and encounters many sweet guests along the way. During his adventure the ‘boy hero’ learns about (you guessed it) the true meaning and spirit of Christmas. Stunning sceneries and gift packets full of emotion, it reminds us a little of Wes Anderson’s H&M Christmas ad this year, except, a little more cold and a little more Tom Hanks (in 8 roles).
4. On The Christmas Wish List Today: A Queen’s Shower Cap
Bath time never felt more royal.
And since Mommy’s already kissing Santa Claus, make her the queen of the castle with this shower cap. Big enough to fit any major ‘do and fantastic enough to wear around the house all day. Protecting your locks never felt more majestic.
Get it on Amazon for $15 here.
5. Christmas Tradition of the Day: Stirring the Pudding in Great Britain
A common British Christmas food staple is the traditional Christmas pudding. Whilst making it, a common custom is that each member of the family must stir the Christmas pudding mix in a clockwise direction and make a wish whilst they do so, just before putting in the oven.
If your wish was a delish dessert, I have a feeling it will come true.
6. Christmas Gif of the Day: Christmaes vibezzzz
Not long to go now! Who’s excited? Who’s wearing tinsel around the house and singing into a wrapping paper tube?
7. And the Christmas Joke of the Day: Thank Goodness You’re Home
