Make way for the prettiest place you’ll see today.
English artist Rebecca Louise Law set up a beautiful hanging floral garden in Berlin’s Bikini Berlin shopping centre, and it looks just as dreamy as it sounds.
Composed of over 30,000 colourful mixed flowers in full bloom, the real living plants are suspended from the ceiling from copper wires like delicate drapery, adding a magical touch to an otherwise urban landscape.
Exhibited from March-April 2016, the ‘Garten’ installation was set up to celebrate the spring, and even two years later, we can feel a whisk of fresh air and bloom through our screens just looking at the pictures.

The hanging floral garden was made using flowers donated by the Dutch Flower Council, and continued to hang even when the flowers began to wilt. A true living piece of art, this shows the beautiful and somehow bittersweet lifetime of a flower – from bud to bloom to falling petals. Poetic and and certainly extremely Instagrammable, it’s a wonderful way to display flowers in a new way, and to give hasty shoppers something to stop and awe at in the middle of a mall.
