#MarchForOurLives: ❣ ❣ ❣ ❣ ❣ ❣ ❣ ❣ ❣ ❣ 10/10
On 24th March of this year, thousands of students and their families and friends marched through the streets of many major cities across the U.S. protesting the increasing number of mass school shootings, and fighting for stricter gun control.
An event unlike any other in large part due to its young participants, the students clearly demonstrated their right to peaceful protest, their solidarity with the all those who lost their lives in past school shootings, and the power of their voices in standing up for what is right.
However, whilst an inspiring and staggeringly high number of people took part in the protest, many were not able to attend, as the march only took place in select cities in the U.S.
Increasing accessibility and allowing all those who could not physically march and show their support, creative agency BBH LA has created the first-ever ‘March For Our Lives’ Instagram colouring book. And it’s every bit as tech-savvy, millennial, and mobile-activist as you would expect.
According to BBH LA executive creative director Zach Hilder, the interactive colouring pages “give [students] tools to elevate their voices, creating a way to unify their message and allow everyone to participate in the March.”
Available for all mobile devices and computers, the ‘March For Our Lives’ Instagram colouring book consists of downloadable images that can then be edited or ‘coloured’ in the style of the user’s choice. Once completed, the single pages can then be uploaded to social media – largely Instagram stories.
The digital posters each contain powerful phrases from the protest such as “Don’t Shoot”, “Protect”, and “Colour For Our Lives”, and were created in collaboration with high school students. Banking in on the trend of colouring books and Instagram stories, the campaign is heavily targeted towards young people, particularly those who will soon be legal to vote, and vote for change to gun control laws.
Bright and impactful, download the ‘March For Our Lives’ Instagram colouring book here, and always stand up for what you believe in. 💪🏼
