‘Mufgels’ Are The Perfect Food For People Who Love Both Muffins And Bagels

To everyone who didn’t like cronuts…

We’ve had croissants. We’ve had doughnuts. We’ve had cronuts. We’ve had Asian cronuts. And now, to everyone who never even liked croissants, doughnuts, or cronuts, meet the Mufgel.

Certainly a funnier name, the mufgel is (you guessed it) a muffin and bagel hybrid.

Hello, what are you?

Created by “Bagel Artist” Scot Rossillo, the mufgel comes with a crunchy top (muffin-y) and a soft and chewy bottom (bagel-y). Served at The Bagel Store in New York City’s Brooklyn, the breakfast staple comes in both sweet and savoury flavours, with seasonal specials changing on a regular basis.

Muffin and Bagel had a baby

From a fruit pebbles mufgel (you can’t get more breakfast than that) to a bacon cheese pizza mufgel (ideal for brunch), it’s the perfect bite for all of those mornings when you just can’t decide whether to have bagels or muffins. Take a look at some of these mad mufgels below, and pick your faves.

Perfect for all of those mornings when you just can’t decide whether to have bagels or muffins, Rossillo’s creations are the answers to all our lazy morning prayers. If you’re in NYC and looking to head on over to The Bagel Store, be sure to stop by early – these babies sell out fast!

Okay, this is a party.
