#MovingIn: 🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠🏠 8/10
After announcing the plans for a Muji hotel last year, the Japanese brand is at it again.
The minimalist store that sells everything from stationery to homeware and clothing, has unveiled that it will be opening a series of Muji apartments – fully stocked with all kinds of Muji products. It’s a dream come true for anyone who loves the Muji lifestyle – no fuss, clean-cut, and very, very zen.
Named the ‘MUJI x UR Estate Renovation Project’, the company has announced 13 fully furnished housing units ready to move in this year, as part of an ongoing transformation project that began in 2012. For the past few years, the “no-brand” has been turning unsuspecting Japanese residential complexes into bright, simple, new homes – all with that staple touch of light wood and glass.
I mean, is this goals or is this #GOALS?
The brand is also stocking the homes with their own products, all of which promote a lifestyle that asks for only what is necessary. We’re assuming single furniture in each room, clean colours, organised storage, and an occasional plant for extra doses of oxygen.
Inhale minimalism, exhale happiness.
Whilst the Muji apartments will only be available for rent, Muji allows residents to change and adjust floorpans according to personal taste (however, if your personal taste is ‘clutter’, we’re guessing that won’t be available). So far, 41 Muji apartments all across Japan have been developed, and we hope many more will follow.
After all, we can only collect clear make up cases and beautifully simplistic pens from the store for so long.

Check out some sample homes and find out more over on the Muji x UR website. The whole thing is in Japanese, but the pictures are worldwide beautiful.
Between hotels and housing, I think we’re finally one step closer in living in an all-Muji world. It’s going to be a good year.
