Take Me There: 🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇 8/10
Something wicked this way comes…
If you’re looking for a way to spice up your autumn, a Wicked musical afternoon tea is launching on September 5th at Mayfair’s Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park. And it sounds, in two words: absolutely magical.
Themed after one of the most renowned shows on London’s West End, the Wicked musical afternoon tea aims to explore “the untold story of the Witches of Oz as they try to defy gravity.”
Whether you’re a diehard fan and know all the songs, or haven’t a clue what is going on here, the specialty afternoon tea promises a colourful and exciting experience for everyone. There’s everything from a matcha and hazelnut finger topped with (probably Glinda’s) sparkly shoe, and a milk chocolate mousse and caramel (probably Elphaba’s) witch hat.
Furthermore, there’s also an assortment of classics such as finger sandwiches and scones with rose petal jam. To top it all off, diners will also be offered a choice of over 40 teas. Enchanting!
The mystical work of executive pastry chef Paul Thieblemont, the Wicked musical afternoon tea comes priced at £28 for munchkins (children, in non-Wicked speak) and £53 for adults.

Whilst you probably won’t be defying too much gravity yourself after devouring the lot, you’ll definitely leave feeling like the most wicked witch in the West (of London).
