There’s A Miami Beach Cinema In London For When You Need A Tropical Escape

Watching movies on a beach > watching movies in your sad flat

Take Me There: 🌸 🌸 🌸 🌸 🌸 🌸 🌸 🌸 8/10

If you’re feeling a little sad that summer is coming to a close, and are looking for a way to hold onto any last sweet drop of sensual summery bliss – this is for you.

Backyard Cinema have opened a Miami Beach cinema in London, bringing the South Beach to Southwark, and officially hosting sunshine and good vibes, even when the clouds above the Shard refuse to.

(Don’t worry, it’s obviously also indoors).

Claiming that “the only umbrella in sight will be the one in your cocktail,” the pop-up cinema is up and running until the end of September, allowing us to holiday one more time (or seven).

Playing anything from romcoms to action flicks and childhood classics, the Miami Beach cinema sits like a little oasis in the heart of the city. They’ve got real sand, comfy bean bags, and a ‘Flamingo Beach Bar’ to get you in the mood, and if the neon lights and flip flop handouts are anything to go by – it’s a really good time.

I mean. Let’s think this one through, shall we? Netflix and chill on your sad lanky flatshare couch, or a cool Piña Colada with your toes in the sand and La La Land on screen?

It’s not a tough call.
